Architectural Drawings of the Eighteenth Century – Rome exhibition

ExhibitionThis exhibition is focused on the architecture of the 18th century in Rome. The drawings which were selected to be shown at the exhibition are mostly from the collection of Antonio Muñoz and the Museum of Rome.

They present the different architectural structors in the city from the 18th century that had a big effect of the creation of Rome. A new type of building was taking over the big monumental works: the apartment building which changed the face and appearance of the city. The only possible way to promote the works of the major or less known architects such as Ferdinando Fuga, Nicola Salvi, Andrea Francesco Nicoletti or Girolamo Toma was by making the designs extremely imaginative and elegant for the potential buyers. At the exhibition there will be sketches, study sheets, design drawings, academic drawings and publications which makes it possible to understand more and see more of the architecture in this period of time. The exhibition will take place in Rome at the Museo di Roma from 20th December 2013 until this year 31st December 2014.

The museum is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 10 in the morning until 8 in the evening and it is closed on Monday. The entrance fee for the exhibition is 11 euros for adults.
