The quickest road by car connecting the airports is the combination of the A91 and the E80 highways. The distance is around 24km. If the traffic is average, this trip should be made in 25-30 minutes.

If you compare the distance with a journey from any of the airports to the city center, then Fiumicino is around 30km from the city center of Rome, while Ciampino AIrport is less than 20km from the city center of Rome. These methods might seem simple, but you will most likely use at least two hours from one airport to the other. That is quite a lot, at least if you compare it to the 30 minute right with a taxi between the two airports.
